Unit 8
Equality is the theme of Unit 8 and in each of these lessons, we underscore the importance of equality for every person living on this earth. Your child will learn about fair treatment, and how to treat someone equally regardless of their gender, sexual orientation, faith, non-faith or race. We’ll also teach your child about becoming a peacemaker and what to do when they see someone being treated unjustly.

Discussion: Equal Pay
In this lesson, we draw lines between real world examples of injustices and how these injustices contradict with what God has instructed us to do. We’ll turn to the Qur’an to see what the Quran says about equal pay and equality, and how we can emanate these values in the real world.

Music & Movement: We Are All Equal
The diversity of our world is made more beautiful by the different cultures, languages, faiths and non-faiths, and it is vital for this theme to be weaved through this Inclusive Islam Curriculum. Through music and movement, we’ll introduce your child to anti-racist lessons because to be a good human being, it is not enough to be ‘not racist’, we must also cultivate an anti-racist mindset.
