She is a member of the United Nations Multi-Faith Advisory Council and co-chair of its Gender Working Group. Ani was commissioned by the UN Office on Genocide Prevention and the Responsibility to Protect to produce an anti-hate speech curriculum for Muslim societies; a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a Grammy certified songwriter. She gave a TEDx talk “Islam: As American As Apple Pie” and is the subject of an award-winning documentary entitled "al-imam," which screened at the Cannes Film Festival in 2019.
is an expert in early childhood education with 25 years of experience. She is proficient in managing the administration of educational institutions and overseeing their routine functions as well as coaching and mentoring teachers in curriculum and behavioral management. She is skilled at partnering with parents to provide positive parenting solutions and has strong communication skills that allow for a rich interaction with children. Ms. Tareen is based in Los Angeles and is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children. She is the author of a children’s book on growth mindset entitled “The Learning Steps” and the founder of Childhood Matters, a company that provides coping resources for children.
