The Whole Child Approach
Our curriculum was specifically designed to support your child’s development by incorporating the Whole Child Approach to learning into each lesson. The Whole Child Approach prioritizes the developmental and personal needs of your child, fostering growth in your child’s social, physical, creative, emotional, and cognitive capabilities. With this approach, we center the needs of your child, beyond their academic development, validating development of all kind. In doing so, this course will help your child to develop an understanding of self, a sense of belonging within a community, autonomy, and critical thinking.
Each unit and subsequent lessons uses a variety of techniques found within the Whole Child Approach to ensure your child (and you!) is engaged through the duration of the course. We have specifically incorporated mindfulness, music, and movement to activate differentiated learning styles for each child, recognizing and validating each child’s strength. Also included in the lessons are stories of science, literature, music, art, and poetry, ensuring that every child’s heart is moved and mind engaged throughout the course.
We’ve so enjoyed designing the curriculum with your child’s well being in mind, and we hope you enjoy the fun and engagement it brings into your home.
The Inclusive Islam Curriculum’s fusion with the Whole Child Development Model means your child will learn a variety of lessons and values that cover a range of topics.
