Unit 6
In Unit 6, Why Do We Love The Environment, we use song and dance to learn about what the Quran says about protecting the environment and why it’s so important that we follow these teachings. We will discuss how our day-to-day actions impact the environment, We’ll discuss animal protections and the relationship between humans and nature and how we can cultivate this relationship into one of love and care.

Family Activity: Nature Scavenger Hunt
One of the Family Activity in Unit 6 takes you out of the home and into nature to ensure that every aspect of your child’s development is being nourished. Together you’ll take a walk in the woods to stretch your legs and your mind in appreciation of nature and God’s unique creations.
Caring For The Environment
Story Time: We are Water Protectors
As Muslims, we have an obligation to care for this earth as dictated in the Sunnah and the Qur’an. We’ll help your child to explore these obligations throughout the unit but we’ll also introduce the ways in which other cultural and religious backgrounds help to care for the earth. This introduction of other cultural practices for a similar cause emphasizes the oneness of our humanity.
