In Unit 2, your child will be introduced to God or Allah, and what the word means to us as Muslims and what other religious practices such as Native Americans, Hindus, Christians and Judaism call God. We’ll talk about the God that exists within all of us, the constant closeness of God with us, and why prayer is so important to deepen our connection with God, and with each other.

Throughout each unit you’ll find plenty of Family Activities because a family’s involvement is paramount to the success of a child’s education. In this Family Activity, you’ll be asked to take your child outside of the home to find out where God is really present - in each and everyone of us.
Universal Connections
Information: Elements That We All Share
One of the most important concepts your child will take away from this Unit is the sense of connection each living being has with the creator of the universe. In a talk by American astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, we learn how the elements that make up of our bodies are also universally found in all of God’s creations all of which ties into the importance of caring for each other, the animals, for mother earth and the universe.
