Unit 10

In our last unit, but surely not the least, we’ll incorporate all that we have learned over the past nine months to think critically about the role that each of us, your child included, can do to live up to the Quran’s mandate of “compete in good deeds”. By incorporating topics of democratic participation, responsible citizenship, and good governance, your child will walk way from this unit acknowledging the power of effecting change for the better, and doing so in a cooperative manner.

Unit 10 will be available to purchase in Fall 2022 on our Teachable website.

Making A Difference In the World

Story Time: Malala’s Magic Pencil

One of our final Story Time, we share the story of one of the greatest change makers of our times - Malala Yousafzai, who risked her life to stand up for her rights. Despite her young age, Malala knew how important it was to be the change in the world and we hope your child will walk away acknowledging their ability to be advocates for what they believe in.

Acceptance Of Others

Discussion: Tolerate or Celebrate?

One of our final lessons brings together all the values we have emulated and incorporated in the Inclusive Islam Curriculum to guide your children on their educational journey. We focus on celebrating differences in all of God’s creations how we can do our part in ensuring these differences are appreciated, not tolerated. By doing so, we follow in the footsteps of Prophet Muhammad and the instructions that God provided to us in the Quran.
